Kennards Hire branches across Australia and New Zealand have achieved AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems certification. Highlighting the family-owned equipment hire company’s commitment to effective safety practices, the certification cements Kennards Hire’s status as a company that seeks to excel beyond industry best practice standards.
The certification acknowledges Kennards Hire’s commitment to delivering efficient safety measures and providing a safe working environment for over 1,600 employees across more than 170 branches in two countries.
Angus Kennard, CEO of Kennards Hire, said: “We are a values driven organisation, and at the heart of our business is our ‘One Family’ value. Having everyone going home safe each day is our number one priority. Having recently been recognised as one of Australia’s top 10 Best Places to Work, receiving the AS/NZS 4801 certification is further evidence of the value we place on making sure everything we do meets the highest safety standards.”
Always striving to be the best hire company, Kennards Hire seeks to further demonstrate their ongoing commitment to fostering a safe work environment for their team as well as customers. Having implemented an internal audit program for the past 50 years, each branch is inspected by a team of auditors/trainers three times a year to ensure that not only their customer service matches expectations, but that the equipment hired out to customers is in the best possible condition.
Chris Meehan, Australia and New Zealand General Manager – Operations and Training at BSI, said: “Kennards Hire has demonstrated their commitment to health and safety by gaining certification to AS/NZS 4801, a widely recognised Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard. By achieving this, they have embedded policies, procedures and controls needed to achieve the best possible working conditions at all levels of their organisation, which will help them to continually monitor and manage health and safety risks.”
Kennards Hire is proud to achieve such recognition for their workplace health and safety business practices. With all branches across the network gaining the certification (all the way from Karratha in Western Australia to Invercargill in New Zealand’s South Island) the safety of employees and customers will continue to be prioritised.
